The Fitzners' Story
Aliya & Evan wanted to capture their engagement photos in the mountains wearing their wedding outfits so they could spend their wedding day focused on God & family.
Engagement Shoot
Bighorn Lookout, Sheep RIver Provincial Park, Kananaskis
After discussing potential locations for their engagement photoshoot; we settled on Bighorn Lookout, which is about an hour drive from the outskirts of Calgary.
This location offered a private and intimate - yet vast landscape - where Aliya & Evan could have their first look, and engagement photos documented.
With their wedding a couple weeks out, I was able to prioritize editing their photos so that they could decorate their wedding venue with them.
We also made sure to focus on small details, such as the necklace which Evan gifted her on her 17th birthday.
Even though there was a risk of rain (both on the day of their engagement photoshoot at Bighorn Lookout and during their wedding day photography in Calgary) they are the type of people who stay positive no matter what. P.S. the rain held off on both days!

"Noam is the absolute best!! She was so flexible, easygoing, and kind! We felt so at ease with her and had a great time!! She takes the most beautiful photos and I’m so glad she photographed my wedding! I would definitely recommend her to anyone and everyone!"
Wedding Day Overview
At The Calgary Alberta Temple
Having already captured many beautiful portraits in Bighorn, Aliya & Evan were able to spend their wedding day focused on what they value most; God and family.
The fun sibling dynamics shone through photos, as did the beautiful relationships they had with their large, loving families.
Both sides of the union had prepared beautiful dedications - from songs, to playing guitar, to tear-jerking presentations. I was happy to add additional time for them in the moment as their parents had organized special events they didn't know about, yet were so meaningful to capture.
As high school sweethearts, they held a special place in their hearts for Covet Sips & Sweets. They really wanted to do their prom photos there, but didn't have a chance to. Because of efficient timeline management, we had a little extra time in the day to stop off at Covet with the bridal party and capture some long-overdue memories! This tied in perfectly with donut wall and custom drink stand they had set up at the reception!
