Ivy & Carl came to me looking to photograph their vintage-inspired love story.

Ivy loves pink. Carl loves Ivy. Naturally, they were thrilled to have their love story photographed in this beautiful theatre located in Calgary.

In one of our first conversations, Ivy told me that she was going to have "lots of wrinkles when she was old" because of how hard and often Carl makes her laugh.

They came to me wanting their engagement photoshoot to feel light hearted and vintage, so we focused on creating natural moments to enduce genuine reactions. From autographing their love in the bathroom, to throwing popcorn up in their seats, to sharing one last swoop and kiss infront of the theatre, these photos turned out magical, and we were truly able to capture a unique, personality filled engagement session at The Plaza Theatre.

Wedding Day Overview

At Reader Rock Garden , The Lantern Church, Rosso Coffee Roasters (Inglewood, Calgary)

Ivy & Carl love antiques and wanted a focal point of their wedding photos to showcase their meaningful ring which was pieced together from multiple generations of family.

We started the day off with first-look photos and couple's portraits at Reader Rock Garden (Inglewood, Calgary).

Their ceremony at the Lantern Church (Downtown Calgary) was followed up by a impromptu pit stop at Rosso Cafe in Inglewood where the staff were kind enough to give them free drinks on the house - which not only was a great and memorable story, but ended up being some of my favourite wedding photos of the day. Plus, I’ll never say no to an iced coffee break especially on a hot day like it was.

To say capturing their love was an honour is an understatement. These two have a love that will last an eternity and beyond.
